Job Summary    Top
Performs selected patient treatments under the supervision of a registered occupational therapist. Also prepares patients and equipment for treatment, helps perform the housekeeping and clerical duties of the department/facility and performs other diverse duties as requested or assigned.

Job Qualifications    Top
  • Graduate of an accredited program of occupational therapy assisting.
  • Valid and current professional license, certification, registration or eligibility for license in states(s) where services are required.
  • Professional competency as a general practitioner of occupational therapy.
  • Requires supervision from an occupational therapist.
  • Ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts to supervisor, physicians, staff, patients, patient families, etc. a must.
Physical Demands    Top
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, lift (50 lbs.), balance, sit, kneel, hear, reach, pull, talk, see, carry, push, and write. The degree to which any of these is required depends on the techniques being used.
