Our physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech language pathologists are trained to provide rehabilitation services in an individual's home. This allows the patient to be more comfortable, and for the therapist to understand the needs of the patient more clearly. These services come under one of two headings, home health and home rehab.
HOME HEALTH
As a contracting therapy provider, we have the opportunity
to see patients for many different home health agencies.
These patients typically must be homebound, and often
need the assistance of a nurse or aide in the home.
Most insurances, including Medicare, help with the cost
of home health services.
HOME REHAB
Often times a patient does not qualify for home health
services, but would benefit from therapy services in
the home. As a state certified rehabilitation agency,
Mountain Land has the ability to provide therapy in
the patient's home and bill it as if it were an outpatient
visit. This eliminates the worry about transportation
or weather conditions. The patient is encouraged to
verify their specific insurance policy for details.
