Mountain Land Rehabilitation Home Health is an agency focusing on what we do best: rehabilitation. We specialize in services for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, and Nursing to ensure coordination between rehabilitation team members. Mountain Land Home Health provides a collaborative approach to the patients in their care. The following home health care providers are utilized in an interdisciplinary approach:
Physicians prescribe and oversee patient plans of care.
Registered Nurses assess patient needs and provide skilled services including: medication instruction, wound care, injections, disease management and education, anti-coagulation management, and case management for rehabilitation needs.

Physical Therapists assess patients’ mobility, strength, and function while setting goals with patients to improve their functional abilities. Physical Therapists provide skilled therapy services including: exercise, mobilization, modalities (heat, cold, ultra sound, etc.) training to improve balance, walking and transfers, and patient education.
Occupational therapists help patients improve performance in activities of daily living such as dressing, meal preparation, feeding, and bathing.
Speech Language Pathologists help patients improve communication, voice use, swallowing and cognition.
Under the direction of a skilled nurse or therapist, aides assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, showering, dressing, toileting, walking and exercise.
Rick has been a nurse for 28 years. He has worked in home health and hospice for 26 years. Rick has been instrumental in the start-up of two home health agencies (including Mountain Land Rehabilitation Home Health), and one hospice agency. Rick has been very active in the Utah Association for Homecare (UAHC) serving in the past as President, Treasurer, and Board Member for two terms. Rick loves working with patients in their homes, one on one, and helping them develop a plan to improve their quality of life. Rick has a love for gardening and water gardening, as well as woodworking.
David, a Utah native, has practiced therapy since 1975. He obtained his BS in Zoology and Chemistry from Southern Utah University and his BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah. He continued with his education at the University of New Mexico and received his PhD in Exercise Physiology. David has received additional training and specializes in the following areas: Cardiopulmonary Rehab, Orthopedics, Sports Med, and Chronic Pain. He has worked at Mountain Land Rehabilitation since 2004 and is the Director of Home and Special Services. Outside of work, David remains active by participating in outdoor sports and exercising. He currently lives in Farmington with his wife of 31 years and is the proud father of 3 children.
