Risk Analysis/Ergonomic Evaluation The term ergonomics has a broad meaning in the occupational health community. At Jobsite Solutions, we believe that an ergonomic evaluation should focus on more than just environmental standards and equipment concerns, but include work methods and employee behavioral patterns. Because of the wide variability among providers in focus and methodology, and because of the critical difference between evaluations provided by licensed therapists and those provided by other vendors, we identify our service as a Risk Analysis. As part of the Risk Analysis, a Jobsite Solutions therapist observes the injured worker in their work environment as they perform various work-related tasks. The therapist will determine if any specific work methods are major contributors to work related injuries. Adaptive measures, or changes in the employee's work methods that will help curtail stress, may be recommended. A Risk Analysis report is sent to the employee's attending physician for further evaluation and concurrence. As a result, the physician becomes more informed and supportive of the prescribed plan of management. |
