After
Breast Surgery Therapy
After breast surgery, EARLY
INTERVENTION by physical therapy is the key to
preventing simple problems from becoming severe. Physical
therapy is effective in treating many conditions that
may occur after surgery, including pain, weakness, loss
of range of motion, edema and peripheral nerve damage.
Therapy should be considered by all women who have undergone
any type of breast surgery including:
- Mastectomy
- Reconstruction
- Augmentation
- Radiation
