In as little as 3 sessions, our patients can see a difference with dramatic improvements occurring after as few as 20 sessions.

A team of Speech Language Pathologists at Mountain Land Rehabilitation have been specially trained to provide Vital Stim Therapy, and we're happy to say's a long awaited answer to this debilitating. Independent reviews and studies indicate that 71 percent of patients diagnosed with dysphagia progressed to swallowing all consistencies of food with a combination of Vital Stim Therapy and traditional speech therapy.

Wheelchair Seating and Positioning

A wheelchair seating and positioning evaluation is conducted by our team of knowledgeable therapists who take into consideration the intricacies of proper seating and positioning as it relates to increasing mobility and maintaining a patient's health and endurance. Patients with ill-fitting wheelchairs are susceptible to painful and costly contractures and skin breakdown. If there's not enough room on each side of the hip, the patient will get pressure on the sides of the legs, which can lead to skin breakdown.

Mountain Land Rehabilitation's skilled therapists utilize our Seating and Positioning Program to evaluate the best type of wheelchair and positioning devices for the patient based on such variables as diagnosis, muscle strength, range of motion, and skin integrity. We do this by training our therapists on the latest techniques for seating and positioning, and training on the latest equipment available to the patient for their specialized seating and positioning needs.

Wound Care

Some wounds don't want to heal properly and require specialized care. For most people, wound healing is a natural, uneventful process. For some individuals, however, it becomes a complex medical problem requiring specialized treatment and care. There are many reasons why a wound will not heal and it takes a specially-trained care team to assess a non-healing wound and develop the right plan for treatment. Mountain Land Rehabilitation provides a full range of services for effective wound treatment and management . Our extensive program of care involves the complete assessment of the wound, treatment, redressing of wounds, and the evaluation of treatment effectiveness.
