Staff Spotlight: Jay Parker
Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Jay Parker, I have been married for 22 years and have 5 kids. I am from Saint Anthony, ID. I went on an LDS mission to Korea in 1987.. I enjoy traveling, hiking, fishing/hunting, going to the beach, and relaxing. Sometimes it is great to do NOTHING!! My greatest enjoyment is watching my kids succeed and reach their goals.

What would people never guess you do in your role?
Cry. No, just kidding! This is an interesting question; It is always interesting interacting with people and the situations we put ourselves in.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy meeting lots of people.
How did you first learn about Mountain Land?
I heard about Mountain Land when they purchased the company I worked for back in 1998.
What do you like most about Mountain Land?
I like that Mountain Land gives you the ability to be heard and that our Executive Managers are approachable if I have any concerns.
Before working here, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I hauled gravel in a dump truck, ran a rock crusher, and drove a front end loader.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
I like sports, hiking, being outdoors, biking, working out, and etc.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
What is your hidden talent?
I enjoy remodeling houses and doing all the work.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
When projects don’t go as planned.
What is your favorite movie and book?
Where the Red Fern Grows.
