Steve Bennett, Physical Therapist

Steven C. Bennett, PT, MSPT

Clinic Director, Physical Therapist

Steven is from Houston, Texas and has practiced physical therapy since 1997. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 1994, and a master’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of Alabama Birmingham in 1997.

Steven specializes in neurological rehabilitation, specifically in stroke, spinal cord injury, and cerebral palsy rehabilitation. He has received advanced training in Electromyography (EMG) from the Houston Rehabilitation Institute. Before joining the Mountain Land team, Steve was the director of the Southwest Neurological Center for nine years. Steve specializes in treating neurological patients from across the Western United States using his sophisticated EMG training. Mountain Land is now one of the few centers in the country able to offer this specialized therapy.

Steven was inspired to become a physical therapist because he wanted to help people who were paralyzed learn to walk and move again. Steven enjoys coaching, playing all sports and writing; he writes novels and children’s books.


Cami Wright, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Cami earned her Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Dixie State University in St. George. She has been a part of the Mountain Land team since 2013.

Cami enjoys getting to know each of her patients and helping them get back to what they love to do. She specializes in orthopedics and has additional training in aquatic therapy. Cami strives to find the most beneficial ways to treat her patients and educate them on how they can prevent future injuries. She loves being able to work with patients from all backgrounds and have them return to what they enjoy, from gardening or walking around the block to hiking or mountain biking. Being an active person herself, Cami recognizes the positive impact that physical therapy can have on one’s life.

When Cami is not in the clinic, she enjoys swimming, kayaking, playing soccer, hiking, or going to the park with her young son, husband, and dogs.


Ryan Brubaker, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Ryan earned his Physical Therapy Assistant degree from Dixie State University in Saint George, Utah. He has been with Mountain Land since 2014 and takes pride in helping his patients get back to doing the activities they enjoy.

Ryan strives to create individual plans for each patient, taking in consideration the whole person, and not just the area that needs to be treated. Being active in sports all of his life and playing college soccer, Ryan knows first-hand the value of physical therapy. He is passionate about working with people one-on-one to help them achieve their goals.

When not in the clinic, Ryan continues to play, as well as coach, soccer for a variety of city leagues.  He also considers himself kind of a nerd, enjoying online gaming.


Amy Mair, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Amy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University in 1999 followed by her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree from Salt Lake Community College in 2002. She then went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Health Coaching with a nutrition emphasis from Maryland University of Integrated Health in 2015. Amy first joined the Mountain Land team as a Therapy Aide before pursuing her education and returning as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Amy’s approach to therapy is to treat the whole person. Well versed in therapeutic exercise and behavior change modification, Amy takes an interest in listening to her patients’ needs and concerns to help them on their road to recovery and get them back to doing the things they enjoy.

When she’s not treating patients, Amy loves to spend as much time as possible with her children and enjoys creating healthy food in the kitchen.


Jo-El Person, LMT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Jo-El Person graduated from the Natural Healing Institute, located in Encinitas, California, in 2000 with her Certification for Massage Therapy. She went on to earn her Nationally Certified Massage license after graduating from the Utah College of Massage Therapy in 2011. She is trained in Prenatal Massage, Acupressure, Shiatsu, and Hydrotherapy.

Jo-El specializes in Structural Integration, Lymph Massage, Sports Massage, and Cranial Sacral Therapy. Practicing for over fifteen years, Jo-El became inspired to help others through massage therapy after experiencing first-hand the benefits massage therapy had on helping her through her own personal injuries. She believes in a holistic approach of blending complimentary and traditional therapies to address the unique needs of each patient.

When she’s not in the clinic, Jo-El enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, traveling, photography, and caring for her greyhound dogs.
