Mountain Land Physical Therapy West Jordan
The Mountain Land Physical Therapy West Jordan Clinic provides comprehensive physical therapy and rehabilitation services to West Jordan and the surrounding communities. Originally located on the Salt Lake Community College Campus, the West Jordan Clinic is now in a stand-alone facility that enables us to provide state-of-the-art care to all of our patients.
Some features of our new facility include new cardio, exercise and modality equipment, high speed video analysis of running gait and mechanics, and an open floor layout with ample space for exercise/functional training. We also offer many specialty programs including ASTYM, Hand Therapy and Custom Splint Fabrication, Pediatric OT Programs, Lymphedema Therapy, and Running Rehab.
Our providers pride themselves on excellent patient care and building lasting relationships with their clients. This comes in great part from our patients being able to see the same therapist on each visit throughout their course of care. Christopher R. Lapray, PT, DPT, ATC
Clinic Director, Physical Therapist, Athletic Trainer
Chris received his doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions after becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer at Southern Utah University in 2008. In addition to orthopedics, Chris has received extensive additional training and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling. Chris also provides Vestibular Rehabilitation for vertigo and balance and falls management.
Chris enjoys working with his patients to help them find relief from pain and discomfort. Working one-on-one, Chris encourages results by setting goals and by making treatment fun and motivating. Chris’ background as an Athletic Trainer gives him a unique perspective in helping athletes through the Mountain Land Return to Sport and Running Medicine Programs.
Chris is a big fan of University of Utah sports. When he is not watching or attending a game he can be found golfing, fishing, hunting, skiing and spending time with his wife and two kids.
Deanna Clark, OTR, CHT, CLT
Occupational Therapist, Certified Hand Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist
Deanna has been part of the Mountain Land team since 2005, and brings with her over 20 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist specializing in the upper extremities. She graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 1991 with her degree in Occupational Therapy and became a Certified Hand Therapist 1997. In 2011 she also became certified in treating Lymphedema.
Deanna has received extensive training in all aspects of the upper extremities including specific treatment for the thumb, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. She also specializes in custom splinting and myofascial release. She is experienced in evaluating and treating patients with cumulative trauma disorders, post-surgical conditions, traumatic hand injuries, and pediatric motor and writing difficulties.
Hailey J. Hudson, PT, DPT
Hailey earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Idaho State University, and went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Mary, located in North Dakota, in 2018. She is certified in Cupping Massage and has recently received her Pelvic Health Physical Therapy Level 1 certification. She has received special training in Pediatric Gait Analysis and Orthotic Management.
Hailey specializes in Pelvic Health, particularly pre- and post-partum and greatly enjoys working with the pediatric population. She is very passionate about educating the patient so they have a good understanding of not only what they are doing, but why. Hailey strives to help people gain the power to achieve their rehabilitation goals so they can get back to doing what they love.
When not in the office, you will find Hailey enjoying the outdoors with her family and two dogs – hiking, hunting, and fishing are her favorites. She also enjoys crafting with wood and paint!
Jessica Derrick, LMT
Licensed Massage TherapistJessica earned her diploma from the Myotherapy College of Utah in 2007 and has been practicing massage therapy since graduation. She is currently enrolled at Weber State University, located in Ogden, Utah, completing her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy. Jessica is certified in prenatal, postpartum, and medical massage. She has advanced training in sports injury massage, and is kinesiotape certified. Jessica is a NASM certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist and is trained in cupping and functional movement. Jessica became inspired to help others after experiencing first-hand the benefits of massage therapy had on helping her through her own sports injuries. She is passionate about helping address the individual needs of each patient. When not in the clinic, Jessica enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors with her family and her dogs. She is a bit of a sports fanatic and loves catching any soccer, basketball, or football game that she can. And when she gets the chance, she enjoys yoga, weight lifting, biking, paddle boarding, playing golf, and traveling to the Oregon coast.
